SHIRA NICHAMAN
Director of Operations, DMM,
Berkshire Team Leader and Berkshire Branch Manager
How many hats does Shira wear at Everyday Money Management? Typical for an employee in small business, she wears many – Director of Operations, Daily Money Manager, Branch Manager, Team Leader, and Tech Teacher. Shira joined EMM in 2020 after more than thirty in operations management and client service primarily at Christie’s auction house in New York City. Managing teams and projects is her passion, juggling tasks and to-do lists with tight deadlines a challenge, and creating exceptional experiences a wish for all clients.
Seven years ago, Shira left the big city for the hills of Western Massachusetts. With her new job, she married her loved of interior design and operations at Jess Cooney Interiors, a local interior design studio. Many beautiful projects were executed and were the result of teamwork and many moving, colliding, and intersecting parts – amazing design, accounts payable and receivable, financial reporting, tracking orders and more.
When the opportunity presented itself for Shira to join EMM, she jumped. Shira loves working with people and is passionate about helping others. The bonus was being able to work with her sister Leah, EMM’s founder. Now each of her clients is like a small project – helping them manage their financial affairs and organize their important personal information. And her work as the tech guru of EMM and helping to manage and improve process is a labor of love to make EMM better each day.
Shira graduated from Tufts University with a degree in Art History and received her master’s degree in American Studies from The George Washington University. She lives in West Stockbridge, with her husband, two daughters, two dogs, thirteen chickens, eight koi, 100,000+ honey bees, plus a meandering an ever growing garden.
